Riding for the Disabled Association Riding Develops Abilities Kalang
Welcome to the website of the Kalang branch of the RDA.
We are situated in Kalang Avenue, Glenorchy.
The RDA is an international movement which provides horse riding for people with disabilities.
Kalang RDA provides horse riding and carriage driving to people with disabilities and we provide all of the necessary equipment at our complex. We cater for people of all ages including school groups.
Clients are asked to pay insurance costs, membership and a riding/ driving fee to participate in our activites.
Kalang RDA is a voluntary organisation that relies on fundraising efforts and sponsorship/ donations to continue our service for the special people in our community.
Kalang is the only accredited RDA centre in Tasmania that provides more than just horse riding . Our volunteers have worked extremely hard to start up carriage driving for those unable to sit on a horse for various reasons and our vehicles cater for both ambulant and wheelchair clients.
We welcome anyone who wishes to come and watch our sessions or who would like to donate their time to our organisation.
